Venue Location

9/10/05 - After several different viewings ranging from Mouldy tents to Grade II listed Victorian Country House, set in 500 acres of historic parkland, it was decided on The Bedford Swan Hotel. Built in 1794 for the 5th Duke of Bedford, this elegant hotel stands on a site in the heart of Bedford, overlooking the River Ouse (not The River Ouse Yorkshire).

November 2005

Not wanting to give too much away November was Cake Month!

The style and design was decided after hours of looking at pictures in magazines and on websites.  A trip to Letchworth to meet a "cake Woman" who forgot we were coming, followed by several emails and phone calls. It was decided to go to a local bakery Gunns in Sandy.

Photographers....

If you have ever been to a wedding you will realise photography is an important part but should not take over the full day.  Also when we are old and senile the photos might be the only reminder of the day so it is important to get the job done well.  There are a lot of photographers available, the way they present their work also differs and the big question must be "how much will it cost?"

We studied the form and have decided to goto Elegante Wedding Photography.  We chose the package with a traditional album along with a modern storybook album.

The Banns read in Church : 6/08/06
13/08/06
20/08/06

Banns are an announcement of your intention to marry and a chance for anyone to put forward a reason why the marriage may not lawfully take place.

Banns need to be read in the parish where each of you lives as well as the church in which you are to be married if that is another parish.

You must have your banns read out in church for three Sundays during the three months before the wedding. This is often done over three consecutive Sundays but does not have to be.
